About the author:
Tejvan organises short-distance running and cycling races for the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in his home city of Oxford. He is also a very good cyclist, having won the National hill climb championships in 2013 and finished 3rd in the National 100 Mile Time Trials in 2014.From the HQ to the start is approx 4.5 miles.
We recommend using cycle path to get to start as A40 is single carriageway at this point.
Riders can cross A40 using bridge, just after the road becomes Dual carriageway.
Note: From Witney, there is no West bound entry onto the A40. You would have to go East to Barnard Gate and turn there.
Parking
- Parking at the Village Hall is imited.
- Please park in North Leigh village with consideration for people who live there.
- There is plenty of parking on Common Road near the village HQ.
- There is a reasonable amount of free parking in the Barnard Gate layby off A40. This is also closer to the start.
After Finish
After finish, Riders should continue on A40 and must use cycle path to return along A40.
