Competitors' Notes

·      Numbers at HQ,

·      The people who hire the hall have requested us to be quiet for early morning start.

·      U-turns are not permitted.

·      No vehicles, except timekeepers to be parked at start or finish.

·      Riders must not cross central reservation, but use bridge  at start of dual carriageway for crossing A40.

·      Like any race on dual carriageway, the race could be cancelled in case of spray from rain on road.

Parking

·     Parking at the HQ itself is limited.

·      Please park in the village of North Leigh with consideration for locals. Common Road is a good spot to park.

·      There is also parking available at Barnard Gate a layby off A40 on the way to the start

Getting To Start

·      HQ to start close to 5 miles. Please leave enough time. (see map)

·      From Barnard Gate we recommend using cycle path to get to start. The A40 is single carriageway at this point.

After Finishing

·      Riders must not stop but continue. At the end of dual carriageway please use cycle path rather than single carriageway A40 which will be busy at that time.

IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY

Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.

In accordance with Regulation 15 ALL JUNIOR competitors MUST wear Protective Hard Shell Helmets.

It is recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
